Elwood Koehn  |1934-2022| 

Elwood Koehn, 88, of Moundridge, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at Moundridge Manor. He was born October 17, 1934 in rural Canton, the son of Albert E. and Esther (Johnson) Koehn.

Elwood attended Garfield School and was a member of United Center Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in rural Galva.

He was united in marriage to Maxine Dyck on October 4, 1957 in Hesston. She preceded him in death on November 8, 2017.

Elwood was lifelong farmer and stockman, retiring in 2014.

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Donald) Unruh of Galva, Linda (Steven) Unruh of Knippa, TX, and Sondra (Phillip) Giesbrecht of Macon, MS; son, Lavern (Cindy) Koehn of Canton; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Elfrieda Becker of Moundridge.

Elwood was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Maxine Koehn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at United Center Mennonite Church, Galva. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 25 at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the church.
