SALINE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 7:30a.m. Wednesday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Hyundai Elantra driven by Joseph Doss, 15, Junction City, was actively fleeing law enforcement in a stolen vehicle. The teen driver turned northbound onto Ohio from the Interstate 70 westbound entrance. The car continued northbound on Ohio one half mile North of Thatcher Road, where the asphalt turns to gravel. The driver lost control of the car. It traveled off the the roadway to the right, struck an embankment and rolled onto its top in the roadway.
EMS transported Doss and a passenger Landon L. Alexander, 18, Junction City, to Salina Regional Health Center. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP. The Patrol did not report possible charges the teens face.
