SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The auction at Mennonite Friendship Communities returns this Saturday. Find out more at https://mennofriend.com/auction/.
"It does have a great history of an annual auction in the past," said Dawn Veh with MFC. "This year, we're celebrating our 50th Anniversary. We opened in August of 1973, so we're excited to bring back the auction this year."
Breakfast will start at 7:30 a.m. The cookie room will open at 8 a.m., with a gift basket silent auction starting at that same time. There will also be a bake sale and the auction will be at 10 a.m. with lunch at 11 a.m.
"We serve around 230 residents at any one time," Veh said. "About 350 throughout a year's time."
For more information, contact Susan Nisly at [email protected] or call (620) 663-7175.
"Paul Nisly and his auction crew actually volunteer their time and services to do this auction," Veh said. "In talking with him, he thinks we'll probably have about two and a half hours worth of auction items."
Mennonite Friendship Communities is at 600 West Blanchard in South Hutchinson.
