
HAVEN, Kan. — Adam Weishaar, Director of Reno County Emergency Management announced late Friday afternoon that they have ceased operations at the Haven Midstream Tenawa plant and turned the facility over to plant officials. That decision comes about 30 hours after an explosion destroyed two buildings and caused significant damage to the facility.
Here is more information on the plant at the time of the explosion. There were six employees employed at the plant and two contract workers present. The two contract workers are the ones who were injured in the fire. Neither of them were seriously injured, both were taken to a Wichita hospital for treatment.
The cause of the explosion has still not been released.
