
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce announced their newest employee on Monday.
Sarah Diamond has been hired as the Downtown & Grants coordinator. Sarah moved to Reno County in 2020 after living in the Manhattan area for 13 years.
Sarah brings an extensive background in grant writing, fundraising, and volunteer development. Her experience includes working with small businesses and non-profits across many different fields. Additionally, she has experience starting small businesses and managing and leading non-profit organizations.
In 2018, Sarah founded Diamond Grants and Consulting which offers granting writing and consulting services for small businesses and non-profits. She has a passion for educating, writing, philanthropy, and working with rural communities to help sustain them.
Diamond holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education, a Master of Agriculture in Agricultural Education, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in adult education.
The focus area of her doctoral research encompassed volunteer leadership development and the motivation and retention of volunteers in community-based non-profit organizations.
Sarah has lived in Kansas since graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2005. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, running ultramarathons, traveling, enjoying farm life, and gardening.
