Julie Ann Galindo, 64, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024, in Hutchinson. She was born November 6, 1959, in Smith Center Kansas, to Thomas F. and Clarice Elaine (Fiene) Johnson.
On October 30, 1991, Julie married Asuncion Galindo in Chihuahua, Mexico. Julie worked as a waitress, a CNA for various nursing homes, a cook for the Moose Lodge and she also worked as a debt collector for PRA.
As a child, Julie loved playing house and mommy to her dolls. She was baptized as a teenager at First Christian Church and raised her children to know the Lord. She loved animals and always had more than one pet at a time. She loved playing Bingo and an occasional trip to the casino. Julie loved spending time with her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and always helped them in any way she could. Julie’s kind and loving heart shined bright for all to see. Her family and friends will truly miss her smile and sincere kindness.
Julie is survived by: daughters, Shauna Galindo and Bobbi Jo Ceniceros (Benjamin); son, Thomas Galindo (Kristi), all of Hutchinson; sisters, Jacqueline Roberts, Hutchinson, Jana Galimore, Leavenworth; brother, Mark Johnson (Julie), Hutchinson; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: husband; brother, David (Pam) Johnson; and nephew, Jason Roberts.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary with Pastor Dominic Garcia presiding. Friends may sign the book Friday 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will be present to greet friends on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
