TURON, Kan. — Nothing was better than a day at the local swimming pool when you were young. The city of Turon is hoping to collect enough donations that residents in that area can swim for free.
The City Of Turon averages $3,000 in income each summer from admittance fees to their pool. This year, the city council has decided to ask for donations to raise that amount so everyone can swim for free. This is for anyone who wants to swim, not just Turon residents. Thanks to a few citizens and vendors, $1,150 has been donated so far.
Those wanting to make a donation can bring it to the city office, put it in the drop box or mail it to 501 E. Price, Turon KS 67583. Be sure to designate it as a donation for the pool.
