Dale Eugene Schrag, 75, of Goessel, Kansas, quietly passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at Bethesda Home in Goessel. Born September 16, 1948 in Goessel, Kansas, the son of Leslie E. and Norma K. (Unrau) Schrag.
He graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 1966. Dale continued his education graduating from McPherson College and Emporia Kansas State College.
He was a member of First Mennonite Church of Newton.
Dale was employed by the State of Kansas until a critical automobile accident caused him to retire in 2003.
Dale had a zest for gaining knowledge with a great love of books, and a fond study of Mennonite history. He enjoyed traveling to Europe, discovering the countries in which his ancestors lived, and exploring his heritage.
His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage to stay strong and to keep fighting to the end. His faith in God sustained him through it all.
Loving memories remain with his sister, Carolyn and husband, Gerald; nieces, Lisa and husband, Matthew Houston, Michelle and husband, Timothy Rohrer, and Kirsten and husband, Eric Kormos; nephew, Bryan and wife, Carolyn Faus, and their families.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Charles; and infant sisters, Carla and Donna.
