HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County granted a motion to withdraw a plea in a sex crimes case. In a hearing in Reno County District Court Tuesday, Patrick White was allowed to withdraw his previous plea to four counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
White had entered pleas to those counts as part of a plea agreement. A fifth count was dismissed. He then filed a motion to withdraw his plea, citing that he was not advised that his conviction meant a lifetime registration as an offender during plea negotiations.
White’s case will now go back on the docket. He is expected to be back in court at a later date.
