Calvin Gene Blanton, 66, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. Calvin was born August 24, 1956 in Wilson, OK, the son of Jimmie Lee and Treeta LeVelle (Cole) Blanton.
On December 16, 1992, Calvin married Karla Frederick in Hutchinson. Calvin worked for Midwest Iron Management as a crane operator. He enjoyed Harley Davidsons Motorcycle’s and playing the lottery and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Treeta; ex-wife, Shirley McGraw; and two brothers, Jarron Blanton and Danny Ray Blanton.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Karla; a son, Shane (Cassie) Blanton; four siblings, Thomas (Kathi) Blanton, Treeveala (Ralph) Blanton, Judy (Richard) Yingling, and David (Terrie) Blanton; one sister-in-law, Elli Blanton; two grandchildren, Seth and Ethan Blanton; numerous nieces and nephews and his dog, Susie.
Per Calvin’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
