WICHITA, Kan.โ€”The Wichita Sky Kings extended their mid-season winning streak to five with a 105-96 victory over the Enid Outlaws on Sunday at Koch Arena in Wichita.

Wichita now has won four of the five games played against Enid and will wrap up that series on Thursday as the Sky Kings start a five game road trip beginning with the final series game versus the Outlaws in Enid.

The Sky Kings were lead by sharp shooter Kam Williams who scored 24 points in the win. Williams has the Outlaws number as he scored 32 points in a game played in Enid two weeks prior.

Wichita pulled away from the Outlaws after a tight first half. The game was tied 21-21 after the first quarter and Wichita had just a three point lead at half-time, but a strong fourth quarter allowed the Sky Kings to seal their 16th win of the year with only 4 losses.

Enid goes to 8-10 on the season but remain in fourth place in the Central Division behind Wichita. Enid fired their long time head coach Eddie Corporal on May 1st and replaced him with Don Harris who as gone 1-2 since taking over as the head coach. Enid won the TBL Championship in 2021 in Corporal's first year as the Outlaws head coach.

Besides Williams 24, Brandon Watkins earned a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. The Sky Kings needed Watkins to step up on the inside replacing the injured Isaac Johnson, still sidelines with a toe injury that he received in the Potawatomi game the previous week.

Wichita place five players in double figures including Derrick Colter having another solid game with 16 points. Julian Winton 15, Terrell Brown 10, Jachai Simmons 8, and Johnny McCants 7. Newcomer Dion Wright turned in his best effort since joining the team earlier last week with 8 points in 20 minutes played.

Enid was led in scoring by Ethan Chargois double-double with 18 points, 14 boards. Martavious McKnight 17, Jerry Price 16, Kaylon Tippins 14, Shawn Stith 13 and Marvin Johnson 11.

The Sky Kings will be on the road over the next three weeks with games versus the Enid Outlaws, Rockwall 7ERS, Little Rock Lightning, Shreveport Mavericks and the Potawatomi Fire before returning home for their final game of the regular season against Little Rock on May 28th. The TBL playoffs will begin on May 30th with first round games.
