HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The number of reported active cases of COVID continues to fall rapidly in the area.
As of Thursday morning, the number of active cases is down to 388 which is a decline of more than 1,100 since the start of the month. The active cases fell by 54 since yesterday although the total number of cases did increase by 90 in the past day to 17,478.
The number of fatalities did increase by two to 217 and the vaccination rate climbed above 54% with 33,754 county residents vaccinated according to the Reno County Health Department.
Currently there are 17 county residents hospitalized.
