KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a deadly shooting have identified the victim as 21-year-old Jayden D. James.
Just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to 4900 block of Heritage Avenue in Kansas on a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers were directed to a man, later identified as James, lying in the yard suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Officers administered life saving measures until EMS arrived and took over. EMS subsequently pronounced him deceased.
The circumstances leading up to the homicide are unknown. Police have not reported an arrest or released any suspect details.
