Former astronaut Dr. Tom Jones to sign his book at Cosmosphere

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Join Cosmosphere Friday, February 2, 2024, from 3 to 5 p.m. as they welcome former NASA astronaut, Dr. Tom Jones. Jones will sign his book, Space Shuttle Stories (published by Smithsonian Books), in the Cosmosphere’s Grand Lobby.

In addition to his public book signing, Dr. Jones will also observe educational activities for local school groups visiting the Cosmosphere, explore the Hall of Space Museum, and lend his expertise to the Cosmosphere’s STEM educational programming.

Thomas D. Jones, PhD, is a veteran NASA astronaut, scientist, author, pilot, and speaker. In more than eleven years with NASA, he flew on four Space Shuttle missions to Earth orbit – including STS-59, STS-68, STS-80 and STS-98. In 2001, Dr. Jones led three spacewalks to install the centerpiece of the International Space Station, the American Destiny laboratory and has spent fifty-three days working and living in space.
