
WICHITA, Kan. — The Wilderness and Outdoor First Aid training series at the Rendezvous Adventure Outfitters store located at 12111 E. 21st North in Wichita just east of the 21st and K-96 junction, will consist of six Outdoor Sport related First Aid classes beginning in November 2023.
All of these classes are free. Classes will be 60 to 90 minutes in length and will be focused on interactive hands-on learning.

The classes include:
November 15, 2023-Backpacking First Aid, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
December 6, 2023-Skiing First Aid, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
January 10, 2024-Skiing First Aid, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
February 7, 2024-Cycling First Aid, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
March 13, 2024-Climbing First Aid, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
April 2024-To Be Determined
Certifications earned in the classes include:
CPR/AED/Choking (2-year certification)
Stop the Bleed
Wilderness/Remote First Aid (2-year certification)

Severe Bleeding and Shock situations
Trauma Emergencies involving Bones/Joint injuries, Splinting, Soft Tissue Injuries and Cuts and Burns
Medical Emergencies such as Breathing Problems, Severe Asthma Attacks, Seizures, Diabetic Emergencies, Stroke and Heart Attacks
Environmental Emergencies involving Tick/Spider/Snake bites, Heat Stroke, Heat Exhaustion, Dehydration, Hypothermia and Frostbite
