Marylou Pat Fallon, 86, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in
Hutchinson, KS. She was born January 29, 1937, to Forrest and Mildred
Bowlby in Wichita, KS.
Marylou grew up in the Mulvane United Methodist Church, graduated from
Mulvane High School and attended Kansas State University. She married
Stan Fallon in 1961 and had two children, Patrick and Kristi. The
marriage ended in 1986. Marylou worked for the Osage County Chronicle,
Mulvane News and retired from Boeing in 1999. In her retirement, she
enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She worked at
the Mulvane Senior Center, delivered Meals on Wheels, organized and
managed the Old Settlers Day Program annually and worked on the Mulvane
High School Annual Alumni Banquet always maintaining contact with her
class from 1955.
Marylou was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bob
Bowlby. Survivors include her children, Patrick (Elaine) Fallon and
Kristi (Scott) Nicholson; grandchildren Kathryn Fallon, Rebecca Fallon,
Erin (Eric) Sammarco, Courtney (Brian) Schnurr, Christopher (Allie)
Nicholson; great grandchildren Austin, Lucas and Summer Sammarco,
Eleanor Schnurr and her sister, Nancy Human.
Visitation is 9:30 to 10:30 am with the funeral service at 10:30 am
Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Smith Family Mortuary Mulvane Chapel, 501 SE
Louis Blvd, Mulvane, KS 67110. Interment to follow at the Mulvane
Cemetery.
