Dry, and getting drier. The Army Corps of Engineers says that in June, the runoff in the Missouri River Basin was 40% below average.
The snowpack melted quicker than normal, and the forecast is for dry conditions to continue into July.
That spells bad news for shipping ag commodities to the gulf.
