HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Come paint at the Hutchinson Public Library from 5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5. In the Pocket Paintings program, you will learn the delicate art of mini paintings. You can create tiny works of art that fit in the palm of your hand.

An experienced artist will guide you through the process of working with tiny brushes and canvases to create amazing works of art and beautiful color blends. You will have the opportunity to experiment with different techniques and styles, with the guidance and advice of the art instructor.

All materials will be provided including mini canvases, paints, and brushes. This class is suitable for adults and teens age 13 and up. Beginners and experienced painters are welcome. Participating in Pocket Paintings at the library is a great way to explore your creativity and learn a new skill in a relaxing and supportive environment.

At the end of the program you will have a beautiful miniature masterpiece to take home right away or display at the library, as well as the knowledge and confidence to continue making and enjoying art on your own.

This program is free to attend. However, space is limited to 15 people per class and registration is required. To register, visit their website, call them at 620-663-5441 or register in person at the Hutchinson Public Library. Happy painting.

Paint will not wash out of clothing, please wear clothing you wouldn’t worry about paint spilling on.
