HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson firefighters were able to quickly put out a fire Tuesday evening.
Crews were called out to 715 East 56th at 5:36 p.m., where they found smoke coming out of the rear of the home. The fire was limited to one room and the only person inside got out before they called 911.
The cause of the fire was due to improper use of a cooking appliance. No one was hurt.
