Edith “Edie” Ellen Kuhns, 73, died June 11, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born December 16, 1950, in Hutchinson, to Charles William and Evelyn Rosie (Wolf) Dyche.
Edie attended Hutchinson High School and worked as a Certified Nurse Aide for 30 years. She worked for Good Samaritan for ten years.
Edie enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, reading, and doing puzzle books. She was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Hutchinson.
Edie is survived by: her mother, Rosie Dyche of Hutchinson; sisters, Carolyn Wheeler, Patty (Lance) Morrell both of Hutchinson; daughter, Angela (Byron) Akins of Hutchinson; son, Billy Kuhns of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Chelsei (Marcus) Freel of Ness City, Catelyn Winton of Rose Hill, Casey (Alisha) Clutts of Wichita; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her father; sister, Sandy Piros; and nephew, Mike Piros.
Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2024, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Brian Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, at Elliott Mortuary.
