HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Summer is right around the corner, and Salt City Splash is preparing to open its gates for the 2026 season over Memorial Day weekend.
According to Hutch Rec, the water park will kick off its season on Saturday, May 23, followed by additional opening days on Sunday, May 24, and Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Memorial Day will be the only Monday the facility is open during the summer.
Regular public swim hours begin Tuesday, May 26. The facility will operate Tuesday through Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Salt City Splash is encouraging families to plan ahead for a full summer of activities, highlighting features such as water play structures, slides and shallow areas designed for children. The facility is also promoting options for private events, including cabana and gazebo rentals for birthday parties and group gatherings.
Season passes are available, and Hutch Rec says there are opportunities for savings for those planning multiple visits throughout the summer.
