Election Day for two bond issues

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — May 16 is election day for bond issues in Nickerson-South Hutchinson USD 309 and Pretty Prairie USD 311.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For the USD 309 election, voters residing in Enterprise Township, Huntsville Township, Medford Township, Nickerson Wards 1, 2 & 3, & Walnut Township will vote at the Nickerson Community Center at 11 N. Nickerson in Nickerson, KS.

Grant Township, Reno North Township & Rice County voters within USD 309 will vote at Mitchell United Methodist at 5512 N. Pennington Rd. in Hutchinson, KS.

Precincts 10, 29, 30 & Salt Creek Township will vote at the  USD 309 Administration Building at 4501 W. 4th Ave. in Hutchinson, KS. 

Lincoln Township, Reno South Township, South Hutchinson 1, 2 & 3, Yoder H102 Township & Yoder H114 Township will vote at the South Hutchinson Community Center at 101 W. Ave C in South Hutchinson, KS.

In USD 311, voters residing in Albion, Roscoe & Ninnescah townships will vote at Pretty Prairie Senior Center 300 S. Rhodes Ave. Pretty Prairie, KS. 

Arlington, Loda, Troy & Bell townships will vote at Ninnescah Golden Agers at 114 E. Main St. in Arlington, KS.

Castleton Township will vote at Castleton Township Hall at 2104 W. Main St. Hutchinson, KS.

The (Kingman County) Galesburg, Evan and White Townships that are in USD 311 will vote at the Pretty Prairie Senior Center 300 S. Rhodes Ave. Pretty Prairie, KS.

According to Deputy Elections Clerk Jenna Fager, a little over 50 ballots had been cast in each election in advance voting, which ended at noon on Monday. 

The canvass for the two elections is scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 23 at the Reno County Annex.
