Sharon Parks was born October 18, 1933 to Earl and Frances (Gulick) Bigger in Hutchinson, Kansas. She passed away November 12, 2023 in Dallas, Texas, where she resided later in life to be with family.
Sherye was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William (Bill) Parks, brothers, Keith Noll and Ernest Bigger, and her sons, Steven Whitehurst, Darren Blake Boling, and Lance Edward Parks.
Sharon is survived by her son, Roger (Sue) Parks, and 8 grandchildren.
Sharon spent most of her life in Hutchinson, and was always very active in the community. She was happily married to Bill for decades, and loved spending time with her family. She retired from Morton Salt after more than 40 years and served on the board for Hutch Fest. She was a member of the Beta Phi Sorority program, and was an active member of Temple Baptist Church and The Father's House, where she served as a greeter.
Her kind spirit will always be remembered, as well as her love of cats. Sharon will be laid to rest in Hutchinson, Kansas, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
