Victoria G. “Vici” Newton, 57, of Maize, died January 26, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born June 19, 1966, in Hutchinson, to Victor G. and Caroline S. (Crane) Yingling.
Vici loved to craft, go shopping, collecting Christmas décor, and spending time with her family, but most of all, her four-legged son, Wally.
Christmas was her favorite time of year. Vici always loved having her family together for the holiday, with the traditional Christmas nerf gun war between all the kids (adult kids included) being her favorite event of the day.
On April 4, 1998, she married Robert Newton, in Hutchinson. He died on November 14, 2020.
Vici is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Rucker (Clay) of Sharon, Krystle Newton (Andy) of Hutchinson, Samantha Morris (Brokk) of Colwich; sons, Matthew Newton (Ivy) of Hutchinson, Paul Newton of Junction City, Jordan Newton (Amanda) of Hutchinson; fiancé, Lonnie Erwin of Haysville; father, Victor Yingling of Springdale, AR; brothers, Don Yingling (Bobbie), John Yingling (Shellie) all of Springdale, AR, Kenny Yingling (Miki) of Jones, OK; sister, Tina Wagner (Chris) of Atchison; and grandchildren, Lily and Memphis Newton, Eyan Blackwell, Sabellah Martin, Corwin, Ross, Dempsey Newton, and Josephine Newton.
She was preceded in death by her mother and husband.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
