HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A smoker produced locally has made it to the semi-finals of the Coolest Thing Made in Kansas contest held each year by the Kansas Manufacturing Council.
The Frontiersman 30 smoker made by Yoder Smokers of Hutchinson is one of four finalists after voting by the public over the past several weeks. The final round of voting will be by popular vote instead of the head-to-head matchups that were part of the first four rounds.
The product receiving the most votes will be announced as the "Coolest Thing" on Tuesday, Oct. 12, during the Kansas Manufacturing Summit at the Kansas Star Casino and Event Center in Mulvane.
Voting can be done at kansascool.com.
