Carolyn Sue Fleming, 82, of Hutchinson, died January 6, 2024, at Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson. She was born July 20, 1941, in Stark, KS, to Virgil and Doris (Boggs) Clements.

Carolyn graduated from Haviland Friends Academy in 1959, Friends Bible College in 1961, and Adela Hale Business College in 1980. She enjoyed a long career working for the State of Kansas in the field of job services. Carolyn was a long-time attender of Grace Bible Church.

On August 9, 1986, she married Leland A. Fleming, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. He survives.

Also surviving are: her daughters, Dawnita Miller (Mike), Michelle Schneider (Adam), all of Hutchinson; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Leon Clements of Rogers, AR, Kay Smith (Morris) of Haviland; sister-in-law, Paula Clements of Tecumseh, NE; and many extended family members.

Carolyn was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Keith Clements; and sisters-in-law, Gladys Clements and Sharon Clements.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Elliott Chapel. Private family inurnment will take place in Haviland Community Cemetery.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Bible Church or Barclay College, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
