Micheal Dean Elliott, 68, of Wichita, died Friday, August 16, 2024 at Wesley Medical Center.
He was born on October 1, 1955 in Pensacola, Florida at the Naval Air Station, the son of Jerry and Delois Shehorn Elliott. While his dad was in the Air Force, the family lived in France for a short time before moving to Hutchinson, Kansas when Micheal was four years old.
He was raised in the Hutchinson area and attended Inman High School. Micheal worked in the oil fields for a time period before becoming a brick tender. He worked for several years with Gene Gardner.
Micheal married Gaynelle “Gayle” Rasmussen on April 23, 1976 in Hutchinson. She died on February 19, 2009. Micheal moved to Wichita eight years ago.
Survivors include his daughter Vanna Kay Elliott of Wichita; son Jon Michael Elliott of Eugene, Oregon; brother Bill Elliott of Guthrie, Oklahoma; sisters Thresa Mandeville of Hutchinson and Tammy McCumbers of Metter, Georgia; six grandchildren Alexander Gonzalez, Aaron Gonzalez, Austin Gonzalez, Xavier Messick, Zachary Messick, II, and Zaydie Elliott.
Micheal is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for 1:00 P.M., Sunday, September 8 at the Community Center in Nickerson, Kansas.
Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
