Edwin Chester “Ed” Bartlett, 66, of Haven, died November 13, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born June 11, 1957, in Hutchinson, to Wesley and Edith (Heaney) Bartlett.

Ed was a 1975 graduate of Hutchinson High School. He was a department manager at Center Industries in Wichita. Ed was also the fire chief in Holcomb, Kanas for 10 years. He enjoyed auto racing and this was his main hobby. Ed also loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their events.

On January 23, 1982, he married Shonna Martene Korte in Garden City. They shared 41 years of marriage together.

Ed is survived by: wife, Shonna Bartlett, Haven; daughters, Jenesis Bennett (Jon), Haven, Kristina Rohmeyer, Haven; honorary daughters, Sarah Coonce, Hutchinson, Amanda Girtman, Wichita; son-in-law, Adam Rohmeyer, Clearwater; grandchildren, Zoey, Eden, and Piper Bennett, Edith Rohmeyer, Morrigan and Alannah Burris; brothers, Wes Bartlett (Gwen), Les Bartlett (Judy), Topeka; many nieces and nephews; and his CIC Family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Bill Bartlett; sister-in-law, Jeanie Bartlett; and two grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 1 pm Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary. Friends may sign the book from 9 am to 5 pm on Thursday and from 9 am to 8 pm on Friday, with family present from 5 to 7 pm at Elliott Mortuary.
