HUTCHINSON, Kan. —For the Record is a brand new book club at the Hutchinson Public Library made for music enthusiasts.
The club reads books about albums, musicians, and their music's impact on culture throughout history.
The first discussion is Tuesday, July 11 at 6 p.m. The club will be discussing the book "The Beach Boys: Pet Sounds" by Jim Fusilli from the 33 1/3 book series.
The club will be discussing the Beach Boys' impact on the music industry, cultural influences of the 1960s, and the author's interpretation of the "Pet Sounds" Album along with each member's own interpretations.
The book is available for check out at the Hutchinson Public Library's Public Service Desk.
