Norman L. Crandall, 95, of Little River, Kansas, passed away August 22, 2026, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River. He was born December 28, 1930, in rural Little River, the son of Paul Revere and Jessie LaRue (Riley) Crandall. Norman was a lifelong Little River resident. He graduated from Little River High School, with the class of 1948. Norman was a farmer and stockman. He served on the Union Township Board from 1960 until 2019, also serving as the sexton for the Bean Memorial Cemetery. Norman also served on the board of Andover Lutheran Church, Windom. On June 17, 1952, Norman was united in marriage with Nadine Carol Johnson at Andover Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2023. He is also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Max Crandall and Clair Crandall (Dee); sister, Barbara Brooks (Dean); and great-grandson, Drake Ploutz. Norman is survived by his two children, Chris Regehr (Delmer) of Inman, KS, and Curtis Crandall (Janet) of Little River, KS; sister-in-law, Marcie Crandall of Little River, KS; four grandchildren, Jeff Regehr (Kathy), Tina Sawatzky (Dwayne), Amy Herzog (Derrick), and Jessica Ploutz (Derrick); eight great-grandchildren, Hannah Stephens (Kyle), Ty Herzog, CJ Herzog, Nolan Ploutz, Kevin Ploutz, Jordan Sawatzky (Shane), Spencer Goalden (Jake), Katrina Hogg (Andy); six great-great-grandchildren, Korbin, Ansleigh and Hayden Hogg, and Delaynie, Porter and Maizie Goalden; and one great-great-grandchild on the way. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 28, 2026, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Rev. Ted Weis officiating. Burial will follow at the Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River. Memorials may be given to the Union Township Cemetery Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
