HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Eagle Communications named Matt Althouse the next market manager of EAGLE Media in Hutchinson. Althouse will replace Nancy Swain, who is retiring from EAGLE at the end of 2023.
Althouse has worked with EAGLE in Great Bend since 2009 and has been Great Bend's market manager since August of 2021. EAGLE is searching for his Great Bend replacement at this time. Before taking the top spot in Great Bend, Althouse was operations manager.

I have family ties to this community, and a relationship with a wonderful and talented teacher who calls Hutchinson home. I’m excited for myself and my two kids to be able to spend more time together."
Kurt David, EAGLE's president and CEO, said he is pleased that the company has been able to develop talent from within EAGLE to fill such an important leadership role.

Swain added that she is happy to see a longtime employee-owner step into leadership in Hutchinson.
"My personal work with Matt over the past two years as well as Matt's history with EAGLE gives me confidence in his leadership," Swain said. I know that our listeners, readers and fellow business leaders will continue to receive the same great experience, even as I transition into a new phase of my life."
Swain spent more than 26 years with EAGLE and has been market manager since Jan. 1, 2021.
In Hutchinson, EAGLE operates radio stations Country 102.9, KWBW and My 93-1, as well as Hutch Post.
