Clara Dean (McLaughlin) Wright, 76, born 07/29/46 in Panhandle, Texas, died 12/19/22 at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas. Known as Claire to many, she graduated from Borger High School in 1965 and was married in 1969. Clara was a resident of Hutchinson, Kansas for over 30 years. Primarily a homemaker, she also provided daycare and home health care services in her later years before retiring. She was a member of the Assemblies of God Church for 10 years. Clara enjoyed oil painting, sewing, and gardening. She had quite the green thumb, and loved to be surrounded by colorful flowers and plants. She loved her Bible dearly and was devoted to reading it often. Clara also loved watching classic movies and old TV shows like Bonanza, Murder She Wrote, I Love Lucy, Gunsmoke and many more. She will be truly missed by many and will never be forgotten.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, James Dale McLaughlin and Alma Dean (King) McLaughlin, and four siblings, Richard Lee McLaughlin, Roger Dale McLaughlin, Jimmy Don McLaughlin, and Rebecca Ann Decker. She is survived by her children, James Dean Wright (Heather) of Wichita, Kansas, and Angela Renee Woodard (Scott) of Raleigh, North Carolina, brother, William Leo McLaughlin of Liberal, Kansas, former husband Jack Wright, and grandchildren, Nathalie Wright, Eric Wright, and Josiah, Keanan, and Ethan Woodard.

The family is planning a small private memorial gathering on January 1st, 2023 at Mission Place in Hutchinson. Cards and condolences can be sent to Ott Funeral Home at PO Box 217 Haven, KS, 67543.
