Kris D. Baymiller was born to D. Kurt and Carol J. Baymiller on November 9, 1958, and died August 28, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father, Kurt, and his twin brother, Kyle. He is survived by his mother, Carol Schecher, Rapid City, SD; wife, Deborah of the home; brothers, Doug, Hudson, SD, Jon (Peggy), Lenior City, TN, and Eric (Karen), Tucson, AZ; children, Benjamin, Weed, CA, Tedra, Sioux Falls, SD; Zachary (Heather), Waukee, IA; stepdaughters, Deandra Hester, South Hutchinson, and Jolana Spurlock, Hutchinson; five granddaughters; five step grandchildren; and a step great granddaughter.

Kris graduated from Watertown (SD) High School in 1977 and attended South Dakota State University. He received a Machine Tool Technology diploma with high honors from Mithell Vocational Technical Institute/Springfield. He worked as a tool and die maker in Sheldon, IA, and Sioux Falls, SD, before retiring from AGCO in Hesston, KS, after 22 years of service. Kris enjoyed his work and coworkers.

In June of 1979, Kris married Tammee Luke they had three children together before divorcing in July, 1987. On September 25, 2010, he married Deborah Spurlock and remained dedicated to her until his death. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He recently found much joy in spending time with his great granddaughter and teaching her silly antics.

He will be dearly missed by friends and family. Kris was a very kind man with a gentle and caring soul who loved his family immensely. His love language was helping others, and it showed in his everyday walk.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Tuesday, at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, Kansas City, MO, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
