Reno County Child Care Task Force

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Child Care Task Force is holding another Child Care Training event. Below are the details.

When: Saturday, March 2, 2024

Where: The Father's House (Abundant Life Childcare Center), 1505 East 20th, Hutchinson

Breakout Sessions/Schedule:

Session 1: 8-10am

  1. Let Them Have Dirt, Beth Reeder
  2. Emergency Situations to Develop Practical Plans, Julie Kallas (RCHD)
  3. Building Neuro-Resilience, Katie McDonald, ESSDACK
  4. CPR/1st Aid Part A, Denise Gerhert

Break: 10-10:15am

Session 2: 10:15am-12:15pm

  1. Getting Loose Outside - Beth Reeder
  2. Sand & Water Play for Infants & Toddlers - KCCTO-ITNS
  3. SIDS & Safe Slumber - RCHD
  4. Practical Strategies to Build Resilience in Children - Childcare Aware
  5. CPR/1st Aid Part B - Denise Gerhert

Lunch & Learn (free lunch provided): 12:15-1pm

Session 3: 1-3pm

  1. Attitude is Everything: 10 Rules to Staying Positive - Beth Reeder
  2. The Great Outdoors - Childcare Aware
  3. CPR/1st Aid Part C - Denise Gerhert

Notes:

  1. All trainings are KDHE approved

  3. Reno County providers will received an additional incentive of $15/hour, for every hour of training completed. Checks will be issued by the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce within 45 days of training.
