HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will once again go over a short list of condemned or unsafe buildings during Tuesday’s agenda session.
One of the properties that is being discussed is the old liquor store located at 840 E 4th Avenue.
According to the city building department, the property owner has discussed the plan to rehab the building. They are currently working with licensed contractors regarding the electrical and roofing.
According to the report that will go before the council, some roofing and inside clean-up have been done. The owner is planning on moving a new liquor store business into the building. The building was to be demolished. The city is now asking that it be taken off that list.
Also Tuesday, the council will take action on a request from Steve Petermann of Salt City Brewing Company to hold a special event on Main Street. The event would require closing off all but one lane of Main between 5th and 6th Avenue on April 24th. The council will go over the final plat for the Woodland Park Townhomes which will be located just northwest of the Dillons Marketplace store along East 34th Avenue.
Tuesday’s meeting of the Hutchinson City Council begins at 9 a.m. at the Hutchinson city offices.
