Carl “Wayne” Trimble (85), beloved son, husband, brother, father, grandpa, uncle and friend, peacefully left this life on February 11, 2024 and is now in the arms of Jesus. He was born October 23, 1938 in Ludlow, Oklahoma to his parents Carl and Ellen Trimble who proceeded him in death. He married the love of his life, Toni Faye Bensch on September 4, 1956. They had a long love story of 67 1/2 years together. They had three children, Steve Trimble who preceded them in death. Jeff (Kathy) Trimble of Valley Center, KS, Brenda (Greg) Williams also of Valley Center, KS. He was blessed with seven grandchildren. Nikki (Ryan) VanWart Hillsboro, KS, Mandy (Bruce) Hebert, Newton, KS, Toby Decker, Wichita, KS, Chelsea (Mike) Simmon, Wichita, KS, Steffanie (Andrew) Moore, Wichita, KS, Jessica (Matt) Maestas, Wyoming and Andrea Gonzales (Chris Castellon), Wichita, KS and many great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Ella Mae Haack (NC) and Jane Wilcox (TX) along with many nieces and nephews.
His love of music was handed down to many family members. He was also a gifted guitarist, Structural Steel Fabricator and loved to dabble in sculpting metal art projects such as stage coaches, wacky faced figures in action (playing a guitar, drums, slot machine etc.). He also dabbled in oil painting a few years. He will be greatly missed by each and everyone of us who knew and loved him dearly. However, we have the assurance that we will see him again one day soon in heaven.
Graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick, Kansas on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
