
PRATT, Kan. —Pratt Community College hosted 17 area high schools for their annual Academic Olympics event. The competition included several area high schools.
In division one, Pratt took first place followed by Trinity Catholic and Conway Springs. In division two Pretty Prairie and Cunningham tied for first place, Argonia was second and Kinsley was third.
Students took written tests and submitted entries in a variety of categories, judged by PCC faculty and staff. The PCC automotive program offered a parts identification exercise, hosted by instructors and current students. Performing arts students took to the stage to deliver rehearsed pieces for judging in the Performing Arts department.
The contest also included numerous works of art and photography for judging. Other area schools participating included Buhler, Kingman, Fairfield, and Stafford.
