HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas State Fairgrounds will be hosting its annual document shredding event on Monday. The event is sponsored by the Kansas Attorney General's Office as part of National Consumer Protection Week.
The Hutchinson event is at gate 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those wanting to discard documents are asked to enter at gate 3.
Each year, the Kansas Attorney General’s Office sponsors free document destruction at eight locations throughout the state. Securely shredding personal documents is an important step toward preventing identity theft.
