Robert L.K. Elkins |1937-2022|

Robert L.K. Elkins, 85, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his home in McPherson.  He was a welder and worked in the maintenance and janitorial department at Tortilla King in Moundridge.

Robert was born on January 23, 1937, in Griffithsville, West Virginia, the son of James Clyde Elkins and Bula Frances Kincaid.  On March 31, 1978, he was united in marriage to Marilyn (Graves) Kinser.  She preceded him in death  on January 2, 1999.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a Prisoner of War.

Robert attended the King’s Hiway Baptist Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: his significant other, Becky Robertson of the home; six children, Bobby Elkins of Wichita, KS, James Elkins (Lena Davis) of Wichita, KS, Michele Younger (Richard) of Mammoth Spring, AR, Annette Brown (Dennis) of Alvin, TX, Britton Elkins (Brenda) of Cartersville, GA, and Mark Elkins of Cave City, AR; three siblings, Britton Lawson of McPherson, KS, William Larry Lawson (Chris) of Kenosha, WI, and Karen Bowles of McPherson, KS; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter, Carolyn Elkins.

The funeral service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Talbert officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Garden Community Church Cemetery, Moundridge.  A visitation and viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until service time, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
