HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The active case count for COVID in Reno County has dropped slowly in the past week. After peaking at 1,342 active cases on Jan. 20 the case count is now at 1,112.
The overall case count has increased by 765 in the past week bringing the total county population that has tested positive for COVID to 16,215 which is about 25% of the county’s population.
Vaccination numbers continue to inch upward slowly with 33,243 residents having been vaccinated. That’s about 53.24% of the county’s residents.
The death toll now stands at 203 residents.
