Richard Paul “Driller” Hinderliter Sr., 65, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away at home on December 9, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born on July 7, 1958, in Punxsutawney, PA, to Richard and Marjorie Hinderliter.
Rick spent nearly 20 years working for the Kansas Department of Transportation. Known to be a “jack of all trades”, he was also an experienced roofer and certified mechanic. He loved his motorcycle club, The Boozefighters, doing wood working, restoring cares, and spending time with his family.
Rick was preceded in death by: his parents, Richard Hinderliter, Marjorie (Burkett) Kretzer; stepfather, Donald “Sonny” Kretzer; sister, Peggy (Hinderliter) Maxwell; grandparents, Twila (Smith) and Samuel Enterline and Paul and Avenelle Burkett.
He leaves behind: his loving wife, Laurie; son, Ricky; daughters, Jessie, Julya, and Alyce; sisters, Sherri (Bill) Kimmen and Dawn (Grant) Elliott of Florida; brothers, Ray and Denny of Kansas, and Darren of Florida; granddaughters, Audrey, Kaylee, Kynlee, Sara, and Olivia; grandson, Ryelee; and several nieces and nephews.
