HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Fans who don't want to purchase a Peacock subscription for the AFC wild card game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins, can listen to the game on Hutchinson's KWBW 1450 AM and 98.5 FM. Kickoff is at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. Coverage starts at 6 p.m. with Mitch Holthus and the Chiefs Radio Network.
Saturday is the first time that an NFL playoff game will be carried on a streaming platform exclusively. Peacock, which is owned by NBCUniversal, paid $11o million for the streaming rights. Amazon Prime received exclusive rights to stream regular season play in 2022 on Prime Video for Thursday night football.
A premium subscription for an individual to watch the Chiefs play on Peacock from home starts at $5.99 per month. The premium edition includes access to current NBC and Bravo shows, over 50 channels, live sports and events and new films, hits and shows. An internet service is required to stream.
There is also an option to cancel a Peacock subscription after the game is over. To cancel, log into your Peacock account, click on your avatar, click on account in the upper right hand corner, click on change or cancel plans, click on payments, click on change or cancel plan and select cancel plan.
The play-by-play announcer on Peacock will be Mike Tirico and analyst Jason Garrett. Sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung will join them at Arrowhead Stadium. An over the air broadcast option is available from NBC affiliates in Kansas City and Miami.
