Barbara Ann Jantz, 90, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at the Moundridge Manor. She was born July 23, 1933 in Perico, Texas, the daughter of Lewis Scott and Cora (Inniger) Mears.
She was a member of the Garden View Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, in rural Halstead.
Barbara was united in marriage to Jesse H. Jantz Jr. on March 13, 1955 in Ithaca, MI. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2011.
She was a devoted homemaker.
Barbara is survived by her three sons, Karl (Karlyn) Jantz of Halstead, Larry (Alice) Jantz of Newton, and Wade (Joan) Jantz of Starbuck, MN; two daughters, Cynthia (Lowell) Unruh of Hesston, and Janelle (Justin) Unruh of Macon, MS; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; brother, Romaine (Fannie) Peters of Kidron, OH; sisters, Ruth Penner of Murray, KY, and Betty Rose Wiggers of Halstead; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Darlene Ann Jantz; sister, Ethel Jantz; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Garden View Mennonite Church, rural Halstead. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, February 2, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
