
The Wesley is hiring a full-time Certified Med Aide for a day shift position in Hutchinson.
The position pays between $17 and $25 per hour.
The Certified Med Aide works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and is responsible for medication administration, resident care and supporting certified nursing assistants while helping maintain resident safety, comfort and well-being.
Job responsibilities include:
- Preparing and administering oral and topical medications as ordered
- Documenting medication administration and PRN outcomes
- Assisting with resident care, transfers, ambulation and daily needs
- Recording vital signs, meal percentages, weights and other required documentation
- Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing or administrative staff
- Supporting residents, families and visitors while maintaining confidentiality
Applicants must have a current Kansas CMA certification and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Previous experience in geriatric care is also desired.
The Wesley says CMAs must keep their certification current by completing 10 hours of continuing education every two years.
The Wesley is a 50-acre retirement community in northwest Hutchinson offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation and skilled home care.
