HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of the discussion items on the agenda for Monday's Hutchinson USD 308 Board of Education meeting is an update on the Board of Education vacancy that was created by former board president Greg Meredith's move out of USD 308 to Lawrence.
The board member appointed to fill the vacancy will serve from June 12, 2023, through January 8, 2024. The School Board will review all applications and select candidates to interview.
According to the meeting agenda for Monday, there are 11 applicants for the position, so there may need to be some narrowing of the field before formal interviews are conducted.
Selected candidates will be interviewed at the June 12, 2023, Board of Education Meeting and applicants must be present at the June 12 meeting to be considered.
The Hutchinson USD 308 Board of Education meeting is Monday night at 6 p.m. in the Administration Center at 1520 N. Plum.
