Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Kay Gibson  |1951-2022|

Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Kay Gibson, 70, passed away September 17, 2022, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born December 11, 1951, in Wichita, to Earl Raymond and Marjorie B. (Breneman) Gibson.

Cindy was a 1969 graduate of Hutchinson High School.  She worked at Kingsley-Wagner Motor Supply Company for 21 years and then as a correctional officer at Hutchinson Correctional Facility, retiring with 11 years of service.  Cindy was a member of the National Rifle Association, Judicial Watch, Hutchinson Gun Club, and Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, KS.

Cindy enjoyed riding horses and participated in barrel racing competitions.  She loved taking care of animals and going to the horse races.

Cindy is survived by numerous cousins and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. 

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Street, Hutchinson, KS, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.  The casket will remain closed.
