HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Open Door Health Services will hold its Fall Fundraising Banquet on Thursday, Oct. 8, at the 1861 Club on the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
Executive Director Lee Keele will serve as master of ceremonies. The program will highlight changes and growth within the ministry and include client testimonials about the impact of Open Door’s services.
This year’s banquet theme is based on Hebrews 12:1-2, focusing on “running with perseverance the race marked out for us” and “fixing our eyes on Jesus.”
Dave Atherton will deliver the keynote address. Atherton’s background includes work in ministry, juvenile justice, fatherhood education and foster care. Organizers said those experiences helped shape his commitment to the value of every life, strong families and supporting parents and children with truth and compassion.
Atherton has served as lead pastor of OneChurch at Pleasantview in Derby since 2019.
