Hutchinson Community College is encouraging former college students to return to the classroom through its new Blue Dragon Comeback Scholarship, a program aimed at helping adults who started college but never completed a degree.
According to the college, the scholarship is designed for students whose education was interrupted by work, family responsibilities or other life circumstances. The program is intended to provide financial assistance and support as they return to complete their education.
To qualify, applicants must have previously attended college, earned college credits, not completed a degree, and be ready to continue their education.

HutchCC says the scholarship offers more than financial assistance. The program also emphasizes affordable pathways to graduation, flexible class options, career-focused programs, and guidance from enrollment and advising teams to help returning students succeed.
The college is promoting the initiative with the message, "It's never too late to finish strong," emphasizing that previous college experience still has value and that students can reconnect with their educational goals.
Officials say the scholarship is intended to give former students a fresh start and the confidence to re-enroll and complete the degree they once set out to earn.
