Keith B. Kincaid |1949-2022|

Keith B. Kincaid, 73, died December 11, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.  He was born June 1, 1949, in Hutchinson at Grace Hospital, to Russell W. Kincaid and Margaret A. (VanBuren) Kincaid.

Keith graduated from Haven High School in 1967.  He then joined the United States Air Force in the fall of 1967 for two years.

Keith returned home and married Lynda Sue Crozier on December 5, 1969, in Mount Hope, KS.  In 1971, they had a son, Shawn.  On September 10, 1999, Lynda passed away.

Keith began working at Kansas Power and Light (Westar) in 1969.  He worked there for 32 ½ years and retired in February 2002.  After his retirement, he farmed alongside his son, Shawn, in the Burrton and Haven area for many years until his death.  In Keith’s younger years, he enjoyed building engines, jeeps, and boats.  He loved racing.  Keith was ‘very meticulous at everything’ he did.

On December 31, 2007, he married Lois Ann Blocker.  A ‘merger’ of the Kincaids and the Blockers took place.

Keith was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Burrton, KS.  He was also a member of the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge.

Keith is survived by: his wife, Lois Kincaid; son, Shawn (Landa Kretchmar and son, Bryce) Kincaid of Haven, KS; step-daughter, Stephanie (Justin) Roberts of Wichita, KS; step-grandchildren, Tyler, Ariel, Annabel, and John Henry of Wichita, KS. and numerous family members and lifetime friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Lynda; and step-grandson, Henry.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 11303 E. Longview Road, Burrton, KS, with the Reverend Mike Rose officiating.  Burial will follow in the Valley Township Cemetery.  Military honors will be conducted by the McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, and Friday, December 16, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary.
