Haven USD 312
HAVEN, Kan. — On Monday, January 15th Haven USD 312 staff members will be participating in a Poverty Paradigm Experience led by ESSDACK.
To make this training successful, the district needs 25 community volunteers that are willing to spend a few hours that morning, acting as various community members in the simulation.
What does this entail?
Volunteers arrive at HHS at 7:45 a.m. to be trained to run a station in a simulated community. Some of the roles are teachers, a doctor, a grocery store clerk, a banker and so on.
The simulation starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at around 10:15 a.m. This is a profound experience for educators and a very simple process for volunteers. A volunteer form has been emailed out.
